In Response to my Barbaro song!

Hello everyone,

Thank you for all the comments, both good and bad, about the song I did about Barbaro yesterday. This story has taken on a life of its own, and whatever side of the fence you're on, I appreciate the passion from everyone. I have received comments raging from "I loved it" to "I'm calling P.E.T.A" and "You should be removed from the air permanently". I am a huge animal lover, as you can tell from this blog, and I never meant to offend anyone. We all deal with death differently. Some cry, some keep their feelings bottled-up, some try and lighten the mood. I enjoy laughing and making people laugh and even though I may not do that sometimes, I want you to know my intentions are good. Thanks for listening to our show :)

Lots of birthdays...and No birthday suits!!!!

Hello everyone!

Hope you are all well. I had a pretty fun weekend. My wife's birthday is on February 3rd and her sister Sam and mine is in January. We all got together at Steph's moms house and had a big old mexican fiesta birthday celebration for everyone. We are all huge mexican fans. It seems there is no other food, really, that is quite as fun. Here was a picture I took of Steph and her sister enjoying the festivities.

Dressing up your dogs!

Hey!

So, I sometimes catch some flack for dressing up Little Miss Gertrude (our pug) in clothing and taking pictures. While some people have voiced disgust and anger, I have received overwhelming support from my fellow dress up friends. In particular, Dawn and Nate's little pugston, Monty. A Pug Boston Terrier mix. Thanks for sending pictures. If you have pictures of your dog wearing fun clothes, send my way...

On another topic, my sister sent me info on a great dog that needs adoption. If you e-mail me, I can give you a picture and the info. He's beautiful, trained and young and needs a home desperately. Have a beautiful day!!

The Great Purge of 2007! NO WINE!!!!

So, the entire show is giving up something for 30 days. I chose wine. This is extremely difficult for me, but I figured giving up something I knew wouldn't be difficult...Well, what would be the point? My goal is to become more disciplined in 2007. We all make resolutions to be better with something, but the feeling I get when I am in control of all areas of my life is the greatest feeling ever. Sometimes all our lives spin out of control.. We slack at the gym, we slack with the housework, with our loved ones, going to church, with our eating habits. No one can be completely perfect in all these areas, but I feel calling attention to it is a good way to live, at least for me. If you have something you wanna give up for 30 days, feel free to e-mail me. If you wanna give up wine for 30 days like me, please e-mail me too. We can help each other out. Good luck to you...and Me :)

More Nashville!

Here are more pictures of us in Nashville hanging out with friends at the Opryland Hotel, The Wildhorse Saloon, and more!

New Years in Nashville!

Hello everyone!

Hope everyone had a great New Year. My wife and I had the privledge to go down to Nashville, Tennessee and take in the sights. We had an incredible time. Got down there Saturday and went to the Grand Ole Opry. We saw Hal Ketchum and a bunch of classsic and up-and-coming country stars. Sunday we spent at Opry Mills, their huge shopping complex, and then spent New Years Eve on the General Jackson Showboat. Monday we spent at the Opryland Hotel, the most beautiful hotel in the world and then went bar-hopping downtown. Steph ran into Bucky from American Idol. We closed down the bar with him and then spent tuesday walking around the Opryland Hotel. I highly recommend going here. It's a great music town, people are friendly, and it's relatively cheap. Enjoy the pictures. Thanks to Joe and Skippy for giving Steph and I the day off. We never take our job for granted and always remember how lucky we are to work for such a cool station. Thank you!!
